W hen I talked with our Advisors-in- training about their Rrst crack at installations in their vehicles, it reminded me of the anticipation, eagerness, and nervousness I felt when I Rrst started at CrutchReld. I followed up with several of the new Advisors after they had a chance to crank up and enjoy their newly installed gear. I wanted to hear about their feelings on the installation process, and how they like their new systems. MICK: "I GOT INTO A RHYTHM" At first, I was really excited but nervous. Once we got going, I got into a rhythm of checking instructions and just going step by step. It was actually fun to see my car's guts. Lining up the radio brackets was tricky, but wiring my new DVD receiver was smooth, and an interface we sell let me keep my steering wheel controls. I mainly wanted more features than my Mercury's factory setup included. The JVC KW-V820BT receiver includes Bluetooth , Apple CarPlay, and an option for SiriusXM satellite radio. I also dig the additional power, which breathes new life into my stock speakers. I had a Kenwood stereo, but the sound wasn't up to my standards. Getting that first factory speaker removed and the new JBL installed was huge. It became easier with each speaker. It was like "hey, I put that in." I can honestly say I did the work. My music really stands out now. The work was well worth it. I installed a complete set of JBL Club Series speakers, which totally improves the overall sound of my Pandora stations. My old favorites sound fantastic, and they're getting even better as I break my speakers in. I'd totally do a speaker installation again. JBL Club component and full-range speakers Prices range from $69.99 - $199.99 HERE'S WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY: 48 Find the stereos, speakers, and other products that work with your car at crutchReld.com/whatRts
